A love affair (with chocolate)

I think this is perhaps already Tony's strap line, and I wouldn’t blame them. This chocolate is one of the great loves of my life and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be. I hope we never part.

I think I bought it once in the Hull Road Cooperative because I heard it was meant to be really nice. Bloody hell. Salted Caramel was an incredible flavour and still my favourite I think. I have branched into other flavours but it’s a bloody good choice. The Christmas boxes are fun to try them but not a patch on the salted or the milk og. The packaging for me is everything. And it’s bold and fun and bright and child-like and everything a gal could want in life.

I have introduced friends to Tony’s, and there’s no going back for them. Which made me think, why do I buy myself cheap chocolate sometimes to allow myself to get a hit? I can’t and shouldn’t cheat on Tony with things that are just not as nice.

I have branched out into their ice cream with Ben and Jerry’s (also sensational) and the Glastonbury bars. Alas my flat mate and I are yet to find a Glastonbury surprise but we will persevere for now. We are at least getting nice chocolate out of it.

Logically investing in better chocolate, which is slave free and ethical as a bonus, makes me savour it more. Perhaps a bar of Tony’s a week is the way to go. I think it would make a nice graduation gift personalised, so that is what my friends will be getting.
