Lost thoughts: hooked on (Diet) coke

‘Diet Coke never made me sweeter at all.’ A sentence has never been more true.

I drank it by the pints and gallons, whenever and wherever I could get my hands on it. It’s like a drug, a fun one through. Different flavours. Great as a meal replacement, bulking up the meal, filling your stomach. You choose and you can make it work.

I could go through a 24 pack per week, which is not a lot but still for one person. Three cans a day is quite impressive. A meal replacement at McDonald’s.

It’s not a life hack, it’s a change that becomes permanent. They can be nothing good that comes from putting all those chemicals in your body. There’s no sugar in it but surely there is something else. Carcinogenic or not, Diet Coke is not what it’s cracked up to be.

I will drink it when out under duress, but not out of choice so much but necessity for a drink that is sugar free and often non Alcoholic. They should really start stocking kombucha, that would be much appreciated in bars. I will even allow sugar in it. Now that’s progress.
